Our 550,000 sq. ft. facility is located in La Porte, Indiana, giving it a centralized location in America's heartland. Melt capacity is maintained by a 65 ton, a 25 ton, and three 50 ton channel induction furnaces. Production is up to 3600 tons/month with casting weight ranges to 200,000 pounds (90,718kg).
At our extensively renovated facility in Alpena, Michigan, we can produce castings of grey or ductile iron ranging in weight up to 100,000 pounds (45,359kg). Two coreless induction furnaces have the capability to provide up to 300,000 pounds (136,080kg) of metal per day on the molding floors. In addition to the casting capabilities, this 130,000 sq. ft. facility offers machining services on five horizontal and two vertical mills.
Both the La Porte and Alpena facilities have state-of-the-art metal and sand laboratory equipment supporting the production of grey and ductile iron castings in almost all ASTM and DIN grades. Teach plant has access to Magma 3-D solidification and Faro arm and laser tracker systems for complete layout capabilities. Engineering software includes Pro-Engineer,
