ATI produces a wide variety of leading-edge abrasive tools for both ferrous and non-ferrous applications. For grinding, blending, deburring, finishing, paint removal and metal removal, ATI's Garryson® abrasive products improve productivity through faster cut rates, reduced downtime, and easier blending on contoured surfaces.
Flap discs: Garryson® flap discs are available in a wide range of sizes and materials for applications including weld seam removal, surface blending, edge grinding and weld preparation on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. They have the advantage over other types of abrasives in that they enable grinding and finishing in one operation, and produce less vibration and noise during use. ATI offers a range of Garryson® flap discs that is simple to understand, versatile in applications, and optimized for improved productivity. Abrasive options include zirconium, Zirc+, aluminum oxide, and Garryson® CeramiQ™ abrasives for aggressive metal finishing on high performance materials such as titanium & titanium alloys, nickel-based alloys & superalloys, and stainless & specialty steels.
Minidiscs: Garryson® minidiscs offer the productivity benefits of flap discs in a smaller size. Available in 50mm, 65mm and 75mm diameters and four grits, minidiscs are ideal for material removal and blending on ferrous metals where accessibility is a problem or the work area needs to be kept to a minimum. Mini Flexidisc® offer flexibility for blending and finishing on curved surfaces, profiles and contours.
Flexible discs: Garryson® Flexidisc® flexible discs are ideal for blending, finishing and cleaning on contoured surfaces, reducing the risk of undercutting and gouging. Patented Flexidisc® design provides significantly longer disc life compared to resin fiber discs. Applications include large area blending and finishing, weld preparation, pipe joints, surface finishing and removal of marks, deposits, corrosion and paint. They are available in standard and mini sizes, with zirconia and aluminum oxide abrasives.
Flap wheels: Garryson® flap wheels are ideal for stock removal, deburring, cleaning, blending and finishing in a variety of applications, including stainless steel pipe fabrication and stainless steel vessels. Garryson® flap wheels are available in a variety of shank mounts and unmounted configurations.
Finishing Wheels: Garryson® non-woven finishing wheels are ideal for finishing, buffing cleaning and deburring applications on a wide variety of materials such as steel, cast iron, stainless steel alloys and aluminum and non-ferrous metals. They are available in a variety of sizes and grades in standard and, for light stock removal, interleaved configurations.
Cut off discs: Garryson® Blue Blade and Blue Blade Plus cut off discs are ideal for preparing, cut-off notching and slotting and grinding out defects on a wide range of materials, including ceramics, mild steel, aluminum, titanium and nickel-based superalloys. Available in a wide range of size and grit options, they are reinforced with high-strength woven fiberglass to withstand severe peripheral, side and edge stress.
Resin fiber discs: Garryson® resin fiber discs feature full resin bond construction for long life. They are available in full range of sizes and grits, as well as aluminum oxide, zirconia, Zirc+ and ceramic abrasives.
Premium shop rolls: Garryson® shop rolls in premium aluminum oxide cloth feature full resin bond construction for longer life and reduced mineral loss, plus flexible backing for intricate work and contours in mild steel, cast iron, stainless steel, high alloy steel, high alloy aluminum, soft non-ferrous metal, wood and plastic.
Quickchange locking system: Garryson® unique Quickchange system for discs, minidiscs and flexidiscs provides convenient, quick changeover of discs. Aluminum oxide, ceramic, zirconium, minidiscs and mini flexidiscs are all available in Quickchange configurations. All products in the family are compatible with a single machine tool, fitted with a Quickchange holder. They are ideal for general purpose grinding, deburring, blending and edge grinding on ferrous and non-ferrous materials including titanium & titanium alloys, nickel-based alloys and superalloys, composites and other exotic metals.
Blocks: Garryflex® flexible abrasive blocks offer a consistent finish throughout the life of the block compared to other abrasive cloth and papers. They can be used to remove bluing in welds, light scratches, rust scale and corrosion. Other applications include applying satin finish to stainless steel, aluminum and copper.
Spirabands: Garryson® spirabands are specially bonded on tear-resistant cloth, available with either zirconium or aluminum oxide abrasives. They are ideal for use on hard metals such as steel, cast iron, stainless steel and high alloys.
Mounted points: Garryson® aluminum oxide mounted points perform a wide variety of applications, including deburring and finishing aerospace and other materials and cleaning aircraft seat tracks. They are available in a wide variety of sizes in three basic shape groups. Garryson® MX cotton fiber reinforced mounted points are specially designed for deburring precision-machined components that require light deburring without affecting the dimensional accuracy and surface finish of the material.
Cartridge rolls: Garryson® cartridge rolls are available in straight or tapered design, in a wide variety of sizes and grit options.
