Burs
Garryson® tungsten carbide burs are engineered for cutting steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel alloys, copper/copper alloys, aluminum, plastics and cermet. They come in a variety of cuts: standard for deburring, double/diamond for cutting, d-max™ for fast metal removal, and aluminum cut for soft metals. Garryson® burs are available in coated, standard, extra long, miniature, special and non-ferrous configurations. Shapes include cylinder, ball, oval, tree, flame, countersink, cone, inverted cone, rim, and custom designs.
Rapide® Coated Burs: Garryson® Rapide® coating improves productivity and durability and is available on a variety of popular bur shapes for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Rapide® Coatings reduce friction, chip accumulation, clogging, wear, and heat build-up. They can enhance performance by significantly increasing the service life of the burr and enabling more material to be removed in a shorter time.
d-max™ High-Strength Burs: d-max™ bur design features a stronger tooth formation compared to conventional burs, providing up to 50% longer tool life, 40% greater stock removal and improved productivity and cost savings. They are specifically designed for aggressive use. d-max™ burrs are used for stock and weld removal in mild steels, stainless steel, cast iron and other ferrous metals in a wide range of applications.
Aluminum Cut Burs: Garryson® Aluminum Cut Burs are specifically designed for use on aluminum and soft non-ferrous metals, and for aluminum casting applications in the foundry Industry. Their special tooth configuration reduces clogging and increases tool life compared to a standard or double cut bur.
Custom Designs ATI has been manufacturing Garryson® carbide burs for over 20 years and has the ability to custom design a bur to meed the specific needs of your application.
Routers
Garryson® routers are designed for longer tool life, fast chip clearance and accurate cutting. They are available in a variety of configurations and sizes for use on ferrous, non-ferrous and non-metallic applications. All spiral fluted routers are designed for right-hand cutting and are end cut for plunge feeding.
Up Cut: Garryson® Series 254 up cut routers are fast helix cutters ideally suited to non-metallic and non-ferrous materials where surface finish and edge integrity are of paramount importance. The 40° helix promotes excellent chip clearance when high feed rates are used. Series 256 are ideal for blind slots or cavities as their right hand flutes pull the chips up and away from the work
Down Cut: Garryson® Series 258 and 259 down cut routers offer benefits of left hand spiral routers together with improved accuracy and workpiece finish.
Diamond Cut: Garryson® diamond cut routers are recommended for use on phenolics, fiberglass and hard non-metallic materials. They can be used in manual or CNC set-ups.
Straight Flute: Garryson® straight flute routers feature high rake flute geometry for fast clean chip removal on free machine materials such as aluminum, magnesium, soft plastics, acrylics and hard rubber. They can be used in manual or CNC set-ups.
