We are a technology-driven, critical supplier to key aerospace and defense customers, focused on maximizing aero engine and airframe growth opportunities. Well-positioned to meet end-market demand growth, HPMC produces titanium-, nickel-, cobalt-based alloys and other specialty metals in long product forms, precision forgings, and machined components. This business segment includes Forged Products and Specialty Materials, with a high percentage of material pull through.
This segment combines technical knowledge and market expertise with exceptional process technologies to deliver advanced alloys to the end markets that value their specialty products. AA&S integrates ATI’s superior melting technologies and the world-class capabilities of our Hot-Rolling and Processing Facility (HRPF). It also efficiently produces standard stainless sheet products with a focus on profitably competing in this highly commoditized market.
It is comprised of Specialty Alloys & Components, Specialty Rolled Products and Standard Stainless Sheet Products. The results of our STAL joint venture (focused on precision-rolled stainless strip) and Uniti Titanium (focused on commercially pure titanium products for target markets) are also part of the results reported for the AA&S segment.
With a focus on driving value-over-volume, the AA&S product portfolio includes rolled titanium- and nickel-based alloys, stainless steel and other specialty materials available in plate, sheet and strip. High-purity zirconium-, hafnium-, niobium-based alloys and other specialty materials for aerospace, nuclear energy and other applications.
